Kwikflo Oil/Water Separators are used to remove grease/oil and solid matter from wash down water, thus preventing contaminants from entering stormwater and sewerage systems.
A 240v diaphragm pump draws oily/dirty water from the collection pit and into the Separator. The contaminated fluid enters the inlet chamber where heavy solids settle and fall under gravity to the
hopper below, a drain valve allows these solids to be collected for disposal. The remaining oily fluid passes through a series of vertical
polypropylene closely spaced coalescing plates. The plates separate the oil slugs which rise immediately to the surface and move down stream to a baffle or oil dam and are collected in the 20litre oil drum.
The treated fluid then gravity drains to the sewer or to a holding pit where a submersible pump can transfer it to the sewer or tanker.
A 240v Control Panel with isolating switch, lead and plug is included and connects the pump’s motor & the float switch. The float switch,
installed in the collection pit, starts/stops the pump on water level rise/fall. The float switch has a 10m lead and operates on 24 volt AC.
A comprehensive operating/instruction manual included.

Car Washers,Panel Beaters,Service Stations,Mechanical Workshops,Fuel Depots
Truck/Bus Wash Bays,Earthmoving Machinery Storage Areas,Forecourts
or anywhere that generates hydrocarbon contaminated waste water
